State Tourism, Arts, Culture, Communications and Multimedia Committee chairman, Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi has said the The Perak government will set up the Perak Film Office in the effort to turn the state into a filming hub and to promote film production companies to do filming in the country.
The Perak Film Office is now drawing up organisational structure and the film office is expected to begin operations soon.
Datuk Nolee Ashilin spoke to reporters after attending a special screening of the film, ‘Kanang Anak Langkau: The Iban Warrior’, held in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2017 at the Golden Screen Cinema in Ipoh Parade, here, Saturday night.
On the choice of Ipoh for the premiere screening of the film, Nolee Ashilin said this was because about 80 per cent of the filming was conducted in the forest area of the state.
